This artwork contains multiple layers of acrylic paint, modeling paste, dyed sand, twigs, and a variety of found objects. Paper is the substrate for the artwork, and the edges are torn as an echo to the stylized bare trees, providing an overall impression of brokenness or hardship. In the center of the frame stand three stylized female figures, colorfully dressed and holding hands to signify strength, resilience, and perseverance.
